www.ctvvancouverisland.ca VICTORIA -- Research In Motion's reputation for reliability is in serious question after technical glitches have hit millions of users world wide. For the third day, email and data networks were affected by what the company is calling a problem with a switch, and a faulty backup that has resulted in a backlog of messages. The troubles come after a failed Playbook tablet launch earlier this year, and experts say the outages are just one more reason consumers may use to make the switch to Apple or Android smart phones. The company has been losing ground in overall smart phone sales, although it's still the leader in the business market RIM says it has a team of technicians working globally to fix the problem, but there is no timeline for when service levels will return to normal.
